What Is IPL Photofacial?
Our Photofacial is a skin rejuvenation treatment that will help improve the appearance of your skin while reversing the signs of aging, leaving you with youthful, glowing skin. Using (I.P.L.) Intense Pulse Light, our Photofacial will improve skin damage caused by overexposure to the sun and airborne pollution. Furthermore, our treatment will help reduce the signs of fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration and skin texture.
How Does The I.P.L. Photofacial Treatment Work?
Using State of the Art Photo Rejuvenation equipment, our specialists will administer different variations of filtered light from varying bands of the wavelength spectrum depending on the treatments needed. When the light is emitted on to the selected areas of the face, the pigmentation in the existing sunspots will absorb the light and blood in the visible vessels will then convert it into heat. This heat will then shrink the vessels and dissolve the cells that create the pigmentation. Each treatment takes about 20 minutes each session.
IPL Photofacial Benefits:
- If you are treating sun damage or sunspots, you may notice that these treated areas will appear darker, however they will shed naturally within 1-2 weeks.
- When treating Rosacea, your skin tone will return to normal with a noticeable reduction in redness within 1 week.
- When treating Spider Veins, immediate results may vary. Some patients see their veins disappear immediately after treatment while others may notice that they become darker in appearance. This is normal and are expected to fade within 10-14 days.

IPL Photofacial Results
Results may vary for patients as different treatments will be needed for particular issues. After your first treatment, you will notice that your skin looks and feels immensely smoother accompanied by a more even skin tone. Results gradually improve and become more visible after each session. We recommend all of our clients receive 3-5 treatments however some clients may require additional sessions. After your treatment, you may experience an uncomfortable sensation similar to mild sunburn. This could possibly be accompanied by minor swelling which is expected to last anywhere between 2-24 hours. We recommend that you apply a cold compress to ease the discomfort.
