Renuva works by injection, utilizing donated adipose, also known as processed, deceased tissue, that contains growth factors and key proteins, such as cytokine and peptide, to help generate new tissue in and around the selected area(s). This helps restore or increase volume and fullness in areas that have decreased with time. The upside of the Renuva injection is that there is no need for pre-treatment liposuction to gather fat tissue which means no post-op pain or recovery time. All deceased donated human adipose tissue is healthy and safe to use in this treatment as it goes through advanced processing and testing.
An initial consultation is required prior to treatment. This gives our injectors a chance to assess the selected problem area(s) and determine your treatment schedule.
On your scheduled treatment day, a small amount of numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area(s) to help alleviate any discomfort that may occur. Then, using a small needle, Renuva is injected into the selected area(s) to achieve your desired results.
Overall treatment time can vary anywhere between 15-45 minutes.
Renuva is mainly used to correct small areas with minor irregularities and is not ideal for larger areas of the body.
Many patients see results with one treatment, however, this varies from patient to patient. Depending on the severity of the irregularity, two to three sessions may be required to achieve optimal results.
There is no downtime associated with the Renuva treatment and you can return back to your daily schedule after treatment.
As with all injectables, there is a risk for potential infection, redness, bruising and scarring at or around the injection site but are rare.
While most patients see instant results, it could take three weeks for results to become visible. Optimal results are achieved over the course of 3 months, leaving you with smoother, tighter skin.
