Preparing for treatment

To prepare for your treatment, make sure the area you are treating with laser hair removal is clean and shaved prior to your appointment. Appointments will be rescheduled if the area is not shaved or you will be charged a fee for shaving. If you typically wax or tweeze unwanted hair, make sure to stop at least three weeks before your treatment to get the most optimal results. If you are sun-burnt or tanned we will not be able to treat you until the skin has healed. If you use sunless tanning products, stop using them for at least 7 days ahead of your treatment and exfoliate any leftover color prior to your treatment. Brazilian laser hair removal appointments will be rescheduled if you’re menstruating.

Yes, most patients experience permanent removal of hair on the treated areas, however the area that is treated will not experience complete hair removal. Laser hair removal provides anywhere between 50%-90% hair reduction success. Any new hair that grows will appear finer and extremely easy to manage.

Laser hair removal may cause some discomfort, however it is typically less painful than waxing. Sometimes discomfort can persist for 1-3 days following the treatment. Tylenol can be taken to alleviate some of that discomfort.
