Dysport
On the market for 10 years, Dysport is an FDA-approved injectable treatment for the temporary improvement of the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines (glabellar lines) between the eyebrows in adults less than 65 years of age. Dysport, produced by Ipsen, is another neuromodulator similar to Botox. It also contains botulinum toxin type A and works in a similar manner to relax facial muscles and reduce wrinkles.
The main difference between Dysport and Botox lies in their molecular structure and potency, which can lead to variations in dosage and onset of action.
What is Dysport?
BeautyFix’s favorite, Dysport, is a neuromodulator, which is an injection of a small amount of botulinum toxin that treats frown lines when injected into underlying muscle, causing it to relax and gradually smooth out the appearance of the frown lines between the eyebrows. This toxin is available at all BeautyFix locations.
Frown lines are not just caused by aging, but from constant repetitive movements and muscle contractions, which means they can develop in younger adults too. If you’re starting to notice frown lines that are bothering you, it might be time to ask your specialist about Dysport. When it comes to Dysport, subtle, natural results are what you can expect. This toxin is perfect for treating the frown lines in between your eyebrows for a younger looking you! Dysport will treat the muscles in between your brows while leaving the rest of your face natural and untouched.
What is Dysport Known For?
Dysport is known for its fast-acting and long-lasting results. Unlike some other botulinum toxin injectables, Dysport can take effect in as little as 24 hours after treatment, with most patients seeing results within 2-3 days. The effects of Dysport can last for up to four months, although this varies between individuals.
Dysport contains smaller molecules than other botulinum toxin products, which means that it can spread more easily and evenly throughout the targeted area. This can result in a more natural-looking appearance, as well as the ability to treat a larger area with fewer injections. Additionally, because Dysport contains fewer complexing proteins than other botulinum toxin products, the likelihood of developing antibodies to the product is reduced, potentially prolonging the effectiveness of the treatment over time.

What can I expect during my treatment?
Dysport is a quick (10-20 minute) treatment with minimal downtime, using a relatively small needle. During treatment, you will receive an injection into each of the five points between and over the eyebrows, two injection points above each eyebrow in the corrugator muscle and one injection point between the eyebrows in the procerus muscle. Ask your specialist about any precautions you should take after treatment
What results will I see?
