What are Glabellar Lines? When should you receive this treatment?

We will always recommend preventative measures. But when dynamic lines turn into static lines, a more aggressive treatment is needed! Glabellar lines are made up of dynamic and static lines. Dynamic lines naturally occur when you move your face and if left untreated, they can turn into static lines - and become permanent.
Your “glabella” is the skin on your forehead, between your eyebrows and above your nose. When you make facial expressions, that skin is moved by the muscles on your forehead. These wrinkles are called glabellar lines, or more commonly, forehead furrows.
It works by relaxing the muscle injected, therefore reducing the contraction and smoothing the area. Botox works to minimize the appearance of wrinkles by stopping the underlying muscles from contracting. This results in a smoother, younger-looking appearance, the effects last for 3-4 months. This WrinkeFix erases static lines and returns your face to its natural resting place.

  • PRE TREATMENT CARE

    To minimize bruising and ensure the best results, please avoid certain medications and supplements at least 3–7 days prior to your appointment.

    Avoid The Following:

    • Aspirin / Baby Aspirin
    • Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Aleve)
    • Fish Oil (Omega-3)
    • Vitamin E
    • St. John’s Wort
    • Ginger, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng

    Important:

    If you are on prescribed blood thinners, do not stop them without your physician’s approval.

  • POST TREATMENT CARE

    Proper aftercare is essential for optimal results and smooth recovery.

    Immediately After:

    • Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the treated area
    • Do not engage in strenuous exercise or heat exposure
    • Mild redness and swelling are normal

    Sun Protection:

    • Use SPF 30+ sunscreen daily
    • Avoid direct sun exposure and heat until swelling subsides
    • Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors

    Managing Swelling & Recovery:

    • Swelling may occur, especially the next morning, and typically lasts 2–3 days
    • Apply cold compresses for 10 minutes every hour
    • Sleep with your head elevated on the first night
    • Avoid sleeping on your stomach

    Note:

    Lip treatments may experience swelling for up to a week before settling into final results.
