What is the downtime required after my treatment?
There is no downtime required after Kybella. This is a quick treatment where no anesthesia is required.
When will I see results from my treatment?
Optimal results can take anywhere between 12-18 weeks. Individuals results may vary.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, we recommend between 2-4 treatments, however, some individuals may require less or more treatments.
Kybella contains a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, an active ingredient that is naturally occurring in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
The treatment itself is performed by delivering multiple small injections into excess fat under the chin.
This results in a noticeable reduction in fullness of the chin and jaw line with an improved facial profile.

PRE TREATMENT CARE
To minimize bruising and ensure the best results, please avoid certain medications and supplements at least 3–7 days prior to your appointment.
Avoid The Following:
- Aspirin / Baby Aspirin
- Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Aleve)
- Fish Oil (Omega-3)
- Vitamin E
- St. John’s Wort
- Ginger, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng
Important:
If you are on prescribed blood thinners, do not stop them without your physician’s approval.

POST TREATMENT CARE
Proper aftercare is essential for optimal results and smooth recovery.
Immediately After:
- Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the treated area
- Do not engage in strenuous exercise or heat exposure
- Mild redness and swelling are normal
Sun Protection:
- Use SPF 30+ sunscreen daily
- Avoid direct sun exposure and heat until swelling subsides
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours when outdoors
Managing Swelling & Recovery:
- Swelling may occur, especially the next morning, and typically lasts 2–3 days
- Apply cold compresses for 10 minutes every hour
- Sleep with your head elevated on the first night
- Avoid sleeping on your stomach
Note:
Lip treatments may experience swelling for up to a week before settling into final results.

So I had ny first fillers appointment at beautyfix medspa at the flatiron location with Stephanie. I did cheek fillers, botox and kybella. I am very impressed with the work she has done and I like the way my cheeks were contoured using juvaderm voluma. Steph was very sweet and professional and tells you what she thinks you need and don't need. Everything with facial contouring is a build up and takes time and patience to get the results that you want. I definitely will be coming back here soon..

Everyone was so friendly and professional from the host to my consultant, to my injector Rosetta they made me feel comfortable I have a very full round face and they made me feel beautiful I injected my smile lines and my chin. I seen the results right when I left out a little discomfort but that all part of the process truly happy with my results and coming back for my second injection

I got my Kybella treatment by the lovely , Guilianna. She was very friendly and knowledgable . She definitely made me feel comfortable and explained everything about Kybella and what to expect.
